Las piezas impresas con filamentos de HIPS PrintaLot® tienen buena adherencia entre capas, bajo warping y muy buen acabado superficial mate, lo que lo convierte en un material ideal para presentar prototipos y fabricar modelos funcionales.

También se utiliza ampliamente como material de soporte, soluble en D-Limoneno.

Es químicamente inerte, y tiene características superiores en cuanto a higiene, resistencia a la temperatura y a los esfuerzos mecánicos.
